610 patients in a large study had Z1 lenses abolish the EEG light response in 75% and reduced in additional 18% and unchanged in 6%

Red is the most epileptogenic wavelength

The darker the tint the more reduction of the EEG response possible but vision is also reduced especially in lower light environments making functioning more difficult with darker tints
